Microsoft Outlook Express Setup Instructions
After requesting an email account to be created, Datawav will issue you a user name and password, hereafter referred to as "user name" & "password." Note: These instructions are for Microsoft Outlook Express 6, but other versions of Outlook Express should be very similar.

  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. In the top menu click "Tools" and select "Accounts."
  3. Click the "Mail" tab.
  4. Click the "Add…" button on the right hand side and select "Mail."
  5. The "Internet Connection Wizard" will popup and ask you to follow a series of steps.
    1. Fill in the first blank with your name. Click "Next."
    2. Fill in the "Email Address" blank with your email address. For example, name@datawav.net Click "Next."
    3. Fill in "Incoming Mail (POP3)" with "mail.datawav.net" and fill in "Outgoing Mail (SMTP)" with "mail.datawav.net" Click "Next."
    4. Fill in "Account Name" with your user name.
    5. Fill in "Password" with your password. Make sure the "Remember Password" box is checked. Also check the box "My server requires authentication"
    6. Click "Next."
    7. Click "finish."
  6. You will be taken back to the "Internet Accounts" window. Click "Close."
  7. You will be taken back to where you first opened Outlook Express.
  8. Congratulations! Your email account is now setup and ready for use.
