Wireless ISP Datawav.net Acquires Pocatello-based Infosystems, Inc.
Acquisition results in an Expansion of Networking and Data Services to Eastern Idaho Businesses

IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO – September 4, 2001 – Datawav.net, LLC, a leading wireless Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Eastern Idaho, announced today it has acquired Infosystems, Inc., a Pocatello-based ISP and network services company. The acquisition will greatly enhance Datawav.net’s ability to provide world-class network services to the Eastern Idaho business community.

"Infosystems brings extensive network services expertise to Datawav.net’s core offerings, including Cisco Systems Premier and Citrix Solutions Network certifications," said Dewey Hunt, Datwav.net General Manager. "We now have a complete network service offering for business—starting with the design, installation and maintenance of enterprise class networks; to connecting customers to the Internet; and hosting customer servers and Websites in our Idaho Falls data center. The acquisition also adds dial-up, DSL, and Frame Relay Internet services to Datawav.net’s existing high-speed wireless offering."

The terms of the deal, signed on August 23, were not released. While the new combined entity is currently operating as Datawav.net/Infosystems, company executives plan to develop an integration and branding strategy for the company. According to Hunt, the company would remain focused on quality service and deployment of high-speed Internet access options.

"This acquisition rounds out Infosystems’ previous core service offerings by adding Datawav's robust wireless technology and highly secure data center to the mix," stated Infosystems manager Brian Oak, "and Datawav.net has a great reputation for responsive customer service, which is something Infosystems’ customers have come to expect."
